A Little Need for Love

Love ......... such a simple plain word but this simple word has done things even greater than acts of God. People have lived and died for this simple word LOVE. Well actually I am not a love hater or anything like that but then why does this love come into our life. A beautiful feeling which if fruitful turns more sweeter but if not then it gets bitter and people tend to do something wrong.

I love someone but then she loves someone else. Is this how love should be. When we love someone, why is it that we do not get the person we love. Well I think I need to think about this? well will update later.....

And She Made The Difference in My Life....

Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay for awhile and leave footprints in our hearts. And we are never, ever the same."
Today I am thankful to God that He has showered me with some wonderful people whom I call as "my good friends"...most of all I thank Him for sending a 'best' friend in my life.
I still remember the day she came and sat infront of me in my college in a boring maths lecture. She did not speak to me and I used to have this thought in my mind,"Man,watta attitude she has....damn why cant she sit somewhere else" .....As days passed ....months flew we became the best of pals...and I am so happy that I met her quite early in my life of college days....
I still dont understand the meaning of a "best" friend.....But I know she is that one person with whom I can spend a day with loads of fun and laughter....one who understands the meaning of my silence........one who sheds a tear when I am sad.......one who is more happier for me than myself.......one with whom I can get pampered and also pamper....one who can give me a solution even before I narrate the problem...one who stood beside me when everyone thought I was wrong......one who gives me that inner strength and confidence......one with whom I can trust on anything ........People generally used to tell us "You are like one soul in two bodies"...shez made that difference in my life....my little sweet angel....my lucky charm
A day had come when I cried as she had to travel miles away from me...But I was happy for her as she was getting a better job option in some city.....
Even today I chuckle when she calls up ....and she says Missing you a lot....that makes me think and i just speak out....ok..i will be in Banglore soon close to my best Frnd..coz i miss her a lot....Miss her (24*7*365)....
I miss those days we had lots of fun...I miss those times we played some pranks....miss those days when we simply laughed for nothing ;).....I miss being myself when I was with u.....I sometimes miss my dearest best naughtiest and most beautiful frnd....
Most of my frnds must have gussed the name so far so no point mentioning the NAME...
My BEST FRND...MY LITTLE SWEET ANGEL

Whats UR Ambition,,,,,,,a common question

Becoming a CEO of Company was never my aspiration... or rather becoming anything wasn’t my ambition at all... it was always the most comfortable answer I had for those perennial… what do you aspire to become? And rite from my schooling… the most common answers doctors and Engineer... never caught my admiration! I remember when one guy... a school kid at that age... from my class... right! Tarun… broke the monotony and answered… “I want to become a police… I want to serve the nation… make the nation free from corruption!”… that was a very revolutionary reply.. at least to me and my class mates who were sinking in the monotony! He received good applause and there I was waiting for my chance…. And my mind busy thinking of an answer that would be appreciated by my teacher! Then on police also became part of the regular answers! And hurray my chance came at last as I was a back bencher right from my school days… the teacher asked me the same question and I had an answer… a very novel answer… I want to become a CEO of Company ... and the class applauded my answer too!! but my teacher had something else in store.. she asked me how are you going to become CEO of Company ? And to be very frank…I didn’t know…. … I had no clue how people became CEO of Company ... and what was the job of a CEO of Company was another question mark! Why on earth did I choose to give out this answer.. I could’ve followed suit… answered police and coolly forgotten it immediately! But I just gave a very stoooopid answer.. I said I’d go to college and study for it …. lol!! The last thing I expect anybody to say today! It didn’t stop there… the teacher asked us to write five steps we would take to achieve our ambition… and that was when I knew what CEO of Company meant as a career…

It was all over long long back! But today again when I’m left with no internship and I sit back and think as to what I’m going to take up as a long-lasting career… CEO of Company still shines before me as a very promising option!! The real thought of getting a job and working everyday… meeting them everyday… doesn’t enthuse me all that much! I rather prefer a very friendly work environment… where even if I’m not allowed to do what I really like... I can at least express my thoughts! May be I’m irresponsible... and this is why the mere thought of work... job irks me so much as today I am a software engineer and not a CEO of Company…….I wanna prove my potentials…..hope I get a chance…and I can achieve what I had dreamt for!

TREKKING

In 1965 Colonel Jimmy Roberts introduced the world to trekking. As a former Gurkha Officer and Military Attaché at the British Embassy in Kathmandu he had spent years of his life walking the hills of Nepal. His idea, revolutionary for the time, was to provide tents together with Sherpas, to guide and cook. Nowadays it is well established; groups travel through the hills, walking for five to six hours each day with all their equipment carried by porters or ponnies; good quality meals are provided along with warm sleeping bags and comfortable tents; the trekker carries a personal pack with camera, day clothing and snacks. Walking for days on end might sound daunting, but actually it is not too difficult, infact its adventurous. The most important attribute for enjoying the trek, is right attitude. I myself have gone for few treks varying frm simple toddler trek to some real tough ones......and believe me its fun.

Trekking often refers to multi-day hiking trips through rural, often rugged territory. Many people who are trekkers engage in longer trips through entire regions of the world, using trekking as a way of getting from place to place. It can be incorporated with a number of other outdoor sports, such as rok climbing or backpacking.
Trekking is different from other sorts of travel for a few different reasons. It tends to be less-structured than other sort of travel, as weather conditions and topography help influence travel plans more than plane flights or hotel availability. As travelers move on foot through often-rural areas, trekking gives travelers an up-close view of incredible scenery. Many trekkers travel through isolated areas, giving them an experience much different than those who travel in organized groups to more-popular destinations. It often allows them to interact with nature, doing anything from climbing a rock wall to navigating across a mountain or entire mountain range.

Several pieces of gear help make trekking more enjoyable. One is a comfortably-fitting backpack. Many trekkers travel for extended periods and need to carry all of their belongings with them. A sturdy backpack can comfortably fit more than 10-20 kilos of clothing and gear. Another important item is sturdy hiking boots. When covering long distances, wearing the right pair of boots can make the difference between enjoying a trip and being in pain. Other survival equipment, such as warm clothing, a first aid kit and a supply of food and water are also very important.

The most important aspect of long treks is right spirit and perfect group coordination.

There are basically wo types of trekking

Full Trekking : Full trek, the Footprints preference means that the group camp in tents each night and retain their own cooks, Sirdar (foreman) and porters. It means that all personal equipment is carried for you, meals are cooked, and you are looked after by familiar staff

TeaHouse Trekking

Frankly speaking as of from my experience Full trekking is more adventurous and enjoying and trekking can be fun iff there are like minded people in the group.

TREKKING TIPS:
  • Trekking is not an adventure activity that anyone can try out. It comes with a responsibility for the trekker to make sure that no hiking expedition becomes a threat to the environment and to the local culture and traditions of that particular region. While taking up trekking of a particular region within India, check out the details regarding the geographical and historical features, followed by the trek route that you are going to cover, the season in which the trails can be followed, details about where to buy essential supplies and keep a note about the local trekking agencies of that particular region.
  • It is recommended that a trekker should take up physical and dental examination before undertaking a trek. The first aid kit that you take with you depends on the length of the trek, its location and the no of people that are taking up the trek tour. Iodine tablets are the best reliable methods for sterlising water for drinking, cooking and washing. Some of the items a trekker requires while trekking on the higher altitude regions in India: a broad- brimmed hat, UV proof glasses, sunscreen that can protect one against the increased solar radiation at high altitudes.
  • Sun Hat, Woolen Beni, Down Jacket, Sleeping Bags , Sun Glass, Sun screen cream, good pair of trekking boots, Runners or sand shoes, rucksac as day pack, gloves, scarf's, plastic garbage bags to keep things dry, torch, personal medical kit, at least 3 to 5 pairs of woolen socks to be used during the trek , 4 to 5 pairs of normal socks, fleece, wind or rain jacket, water bottle, stamina or rehydration powder.
  • To avoid dehydration always carry a water bottle with you and it's essential to frequently drink water.

My next trek will be to CHANDRATAL and BARALACHA PASS.....will post the experience soon

ADULTS ASSUMPTIONS ON TEENAGERS

Everyone knows that throughout life, assumptions and stereotypes are made. Whether they concern age, gender, race, class and so on, it does not matter. Stereotypes are always made in some form or another, some can be referring to positive aspects, while others can be bad. Whether good or bad, stereotypes should not be made, if a person has not met someone, they shouldn’t presume to know them or their ‘type’. No two people are identical and so they should not be treated as though they are. Many people have similar interests and characteristics, but not identical. A common group that receives a lot of stereotyping is the youth of today.

Not everyone, but a lot of people follow the assumption that the youth of today’s society are nothing but bludgers. Youth usually have plenty of negative assumptions placed upon them such as being known as ‘Know alls’, ‘Trouble makers’, ‘Druggies’ and irresponsible. This names just a few of the negative assumptions that youth have placed upon them nearly, if not, everyday. There are also some positive assumptions made in regard to the youth of today, these are statements like they are beginning to understand the importance of education in order to have a chance at a secure future. Youth are very out going and don’t have a concern for tomorrow as they prefer to live for today. Youth have a creative imagination, not just towards art and work, but towards life in general and are willing to learn new skills in order to forward their knowledge, and are being thought of as the future generation.

I believe that all of these assumptions have an element of truth, but in the way of being stereotypes. To certain individuals, these assumptions may be true, but not every youth is a trouble maker or a drug addict and so on. As I said before, everyone is an individual and so should be treated as one, and not just as ‘one of them’. The reason I think this is because I know that I wouldn’t like it if someone treated me the same as other people who are nothing like me. I know that I’m not a ‘Druggie’ or a ‘Know all’ and so I do not want to be treated the way people treat these sort of youths. I know that this is sounding as though I am stereotyping but I am not, I am saying that people do put these groups under headings such as ‘Druggies’ and they then treat them different. I don’t want to be treated different by someone who does not know me and who is only going on what they think of youth overall.

People who place these assumptions on the youth of today are causing problems with the way the youths think they are perceived. If the youths think that people are against them, they may no longer see the point in trying their best, as they think it is pointless, nothing is going to change the way the rest of society see them. This may then cause more of society to think about the negative assumptions about youth rather than the positive ones.

It was also thought that adults, especially parents may have expectations of their children. That parents expect their children to up hold the same morals standard and values that they do. This may not always be the way, as some parents may want more for their children, while others may not really care what is happening to their children and the direction they are heading
towards. Adult expectations can then cause conflicts within families as there may be to much pressure on children to get a good job, to get married and to be successful and the children may feel that these expectations are to high and why can’t the parents just be happy with the child’s choice of direction in life.

Overall, there are both positive and negavite assumptions to be made about everyone. It just depends on whether people are going to believe them and even join in making the assumptions. As you can see, I’ve focused on more of the negative assumptions especially when writing about the impact these can have on youth. This is because the negative points are more obvious to people and youth should be able to handle the positive assumptions every now and then. As I’ve shown, negative ones only end up causing more problems and so should be left alone. If someone is going to come up with more negative assumptions, they should be kept to themselves, most of the youth in today’s society are doing their best to succeed and they do not need people telling them that they are going nowhere. They need positive encouragement, and this can not be in negative assumptions. So remember, if you meet a youth who is trying to succeed, help to encourage them and offer welcomed guidance rather than giving them a negative response.
